Particle-Related Issues During The Coating Process:

The coating process requires a particle-free base material onto which to coat. Ideally the static levels on the material should be managed also. To avoid unwanted streaks or hickeys (inclusions) in the coated product, the material should be free of all unwanted particles immediately prior to the coating process .The presence of any loose debris or particles in the process or on materials during the coating stages can lead to lower production-yields and potential costly scrapped product.

A Solution:

High-performance particle-removal rollers are used every day in the coating process to permanently remove and discard loose contamination and particles from materials before coating. Robust hand-held manual units can be used to locate, capture and identify particulate in the process and on the materials, and fully integratable equipment can be installed permanently in to the production line to collect the particles and deliver improved yields and enhance product quality and performance. Cleaning sleeves can be mounted over existing rollers in production lines and realize an immediate low cost beneift in combatting unwanted particles.
